Necrotizing enterocolitis is a duodenal and intestinal infection that affects almost around one out of ten untimely/premature newborn infants and is lethal in about 33% of cases. How was the disease in the infants analyzed?
The analysts teamed up with clinics in Cincinnati, Birmingham, Ohio, and Alabama, to get the faeces tests from an accomplice of 166 newborns both mature and premature children. It is far better to screen for a disease because some symptoms were showing in infants (or maybe in adults) than to wait for the situation to get worse and then screen for it. By being careful and following precautions; we can save the infants, especially premature babies, from the pain that they may go through or even death.
